Secret Garden Scrapbooking Workshop Kit and Cards

Secret Garden Kit

This month, I had two Facebook Lives featuring the stunning Secret Garden Scrapbook Workshop Kit, making both a scrapbook page and cards from the kit. I have been wanting a kit like this FOREVER and wanted to scrapbook my Santa Ana, California yard, as my secret cottage garden meant so much to me and brought me, my family and friends so much joy!

I am so excited that Stampin’ Up! is now providing scrapbook kits in this same format as well! Watch for upcoming Fri-Yay Kit-Togethers!

Though Secret Garden Scrapbooking Workshop Kit product is not Stampin’ Up!, they are selling the CTMH product. When they purchased Close to My Heart, many of their “Makers” chose to come under SU!, and in doing so, SU! decided to provide them their product that was upcoming, then made it available to all SU! customers as well! You can still purchase the Secret Garden Scrapbook Workshop Kit (it makes three 2-page layouts+), or the individual Cardmaking Kit, Paper Pack & Sticker Pack, Coordinating Two-Toned Paper, Stamp & Thin Cuts or 3D Flower Thin Cuts. Because of all this versatility, any part of it can be exactly what you are looking for!

It’s a Beautiful Life

One of my Marvelous Monday FB Lives featured the cards I could make with the scraps. After making the 6 page kit (three 2-page spreads), mostly how the instructions showed, I had all this left-over paper and wanted to show you how to make beautiful cards with the scraps. As I was trying to figure out how I could make more scrapbook pages with the bigger pieces, I decided to go back to my cards and use my card layout to inspire a scrapbook layout! Scrapbooking does not have to be hard! You can get inspiration from anything!

It’s a beautiful… card

This is a very simple yet beautiful card that takes just a little paper. I love the two-toned paper and am so excited that we will soon have all the SU! colors in two-toned as well! I used an A2 card base in Basic White CS, stamped a few background elements from the Secret Garden stamps using the retired Orchid Oasis ink (the closest color to the CTMH Periwinkle). I then glued down three banner scraps on the left side of the card. I then stamped a light sentiment to the right side, and after stamping a full ink of the same on a Basic White CS scrap, I fussy cut out the banner only and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I had cut out the flowers and leaves from their Two-Toned CS from the kit using the 3D Thin Cuts and assembled as shown. The matching embellishments are from the kit as well.

I made two top cards shown above during the video that were just slightly different from the two bottom I had already made.

Beautiful

Here is another gorgeous example of a scrapbook layout that was inspired by the beautiful card I made for my Marvelous Monday (video above). I love the 3D flowers so much and the stickers from this stunning kit make fabulous cards as well!

Beauty comes…

This design was also made from an A2 card base of Basic White CS, with scraps of the paper left over after cutting out the 6 scrapbook pages the step-by-step instructions laid out. The lovely sentiment is from the sticker page in the kit. The best bonus of this kit, was the 4 extra scrapbook pages I was able to achieve after cutting it all out. Watch my step-by-step video above for more details for this card and others.

The remaining scrapbook pages and cards can be found in the videos and photos below…
