Apple Harvest Bundle

3D FLOWER LOVE…

Backstage was a blast and I used this sweet card for the #STAMPINUPBACKSTAGE Sweets & Swaps social and conference that was kicked-off on August 25th…

This card was made using the Apple Harvest Stamp set in the J-D 2022 Mini Catalog with the Apple Blossom Dies (only available until Sept 30). The Perfect Partners promotion started September 1, 2022 and includes dies that go with a select number of stamp sets until September 30. I chose the Apple Blossom Bundle to get that 10% off and because of the adorable blossom and leaf dies (of course).

As you have realized over time, I love to watercolor, and just love how Tahitian Tide ink looks for that bright sky blue. I started with a 4-3/4”x3-1/2” piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I layered this over a 4-7/8”x3-5/8” piece of Early Espresso CS. This was popped up over a 4-1/4x5-1/2” piece of Shimmery White CS, as Basic White is too bright for Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. This was mounted to the typical 8-1/2”x5-1/2” Basic White CS card base (scored at 4-1/4”).

For the colors on this card, I used my re-inkers to add a few drops in my stamp pad lid or dabbed my ink pad. I used Tahitian Tide for the sky, Parakeet Party for the leaves, Sweet Sorbet for the blossoms & centers, and Early Espresso for the stem. I used my Tahitian Tide Blend to flick the color dots on the sky, used the Wink of Stella to shimmer up the blossoms, and Red Rhinestones for my flower centers. When I first got the dies and stamp set, I was putting together my card design for my team challenge and came up with this card using some of the same elements for the flowers that I used in the above video. For the leaves I used Parakeet Party CS, along with Blushing Bride CS and Sweet Sorbet CS for the scallop piece. I love these scallops in the Apple Blossom Dies! I’ll be reluctant to retire this die set for that reason and for the blossom and leaves (to die for!). Don’t miss out and order yours today!
