Trees For Sale & FREE Tree Lot Dies
July is World Watercolor month, and I had so much fun pairing watercoloring with the Trees for Sale stamp set and FREE Tree Lot Dies (now sold out)!
Stampin’ Up has wonderful watercoloring tools like the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Water Painters or Blending Pen with all the beautiful coordinating inks (ink pads or refill bottles), and the watercolor pencils.

This fun card was for my upline swap back in June during Sale-a-bration Demonstrator “Pre-Sale”. My family love Airstreams, and used the Tree Lot Dies to make a Silver Airstream. I started with a 5-1/2”x8-1/2” Basic White Thick CS base, then embossed a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” with the Timber 3D EF (that is currently FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration ending August 2022), roughed up the edges, and glued it to the card base. I took 1/2 of Fluid 100 CS (3-1/2”x5”) and using Tahitian Tide ink and my Water Painters, I carefully added water and ink to achieve the sky with wispy clouds by leaving some of the paper without color. I used the Parakeet Party ink and water to make the ground/foreground.
With the other piece of Fluid 100 CS (they come in 5”x7”), I added Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut the trees with the Tree Lot Dies and glued them to the background. I glued the watercolored layer to a 3-5/8”x5-1/8” piece of Basic Black CS.I used Silver Foil CS for the Airstream, then added Vellum CS behind the airstream for the windows, adding the die cut curtains behind the Vellum, and a piece of So Saffron CS for a warm glow. I added die cut Basic Black CS to make the tires. Watch this video on how I make the camper. I then popped up the camper using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using Basic White CS, I stamped the light swags in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and pole in Soft Suede ink, popping them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Sending Smiles Bundle, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink then die cut the verse.
I added the Tahitian Tide Light Blend to the sentiment and the light swag bulbs. Before adding the sentiment to the card front, I tied black Bakers Twine around the bottom of the layers and tied a knot, then pop up the layer and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last item added was the “Sending” sentiment using the Sending Dies. I added the Adhesive Sheet to the back of a scrap of Basic Black CS, then die cut it out and adhered it to the card front, diagonal across the camper.

This fun little card was a more simple mix of stamping and watercoloring that makes it easy for anyone to get the watercolor look on their card. For this one, I used the 3-1/2”x5” Fluid 100 CS with the Ocean Front stamps in Coastal Cabaña Ink for the sky and Coastal Cabaña and Pacific Point ink for the water, using a wet Water Painter to make the areas look like they were watercolored instead of stamped. The stamps of Ocean Front lend them selves to the look of watercoloring, so adding a little water with the Water Painters really seals the look!
For the sand, I used Gray Granite ink, following where the water left off. Again using the wet Water Painter to blend the ink so it looks 100% watercolored.
I added the sea grass in Garden Green ink, and added a number of Faux Sea Glass in front of the stamped grass. The sentiment was added from Natures Prints stamp set, and stamped in Pacific Point ink. After roughing up the edge of the Fluid 100 CS, glued it to a 5-1/8”x3-5/8” piece of Pacific Point CS. This was popped up on a 8-1/2”x5-1/2” (scored & folded at 4-1/4”) card base, pushed to the right side so the top, right and bottom of the card white space was the same.
I made this card just so I could add one of my favorite vintage campers from Sale-a-bration Catalog, the (recently sold-out) FREE Tree Lot dies! So adorable!! Camper Card
This card does not have a sentiment as I did not want to take away from the sweet simplicity of a moonlit night on the beach and then I can send it for anything. Again I used Ocean Front stamp set for the background. Using a retired 3/4” circle punch, I cut out a circle in copy paper and placed it on the 3-1/2”x5” Fluid 100 CS about where I wanted the moon, then using the sky stamp and inking in Starry Sky Classic Stamp Pad, inked the sky twice (side-by-side).
I then used a wet Water Painter and blended the color in the rest of the sky with the exception of the moon area. After the sky dried, using So Saffron ink, I painted the moon area, including the aura of the moon as well. I then added a little Orchid Oasis ink to give a lighter purple cast to the sky as well. For the water, I used Pacific Point & Orchid Oasis ink on the water stamp (stamping twice side-by-side), then blended a little So Saffron ink where the moon would reflect on the ocean as well. Using the sand stamp from the same Ocean Front set, I inked in Gray Granite ink, then placed below the water (again stamping side-by-side).
I added the sea grass from the same Ocean Front stamp set in Garden Green ink. I then added the Silver Foil camper and starts from the Tree Lot Dies.
I glued my watercolored front to a 5-1/8”x3-5/8” layer of Starry Sky CS, then popped it up on an 8-1/2”x5-1/2” (scored & folded at 4-1/4”) Basic White Thick CS card base. Lastly, I added the Faux Sea Glass Shapes below the sea grass. See this video on how to make the camper.
